Addendum till neometal

Är metalcore melodic death screamo emo post-hardcore skatepunk 10-talets neometal, fast med mer brudar (som fans)? Det är definitivt rebelliös och ilsket utan att vara ett särskilt artikulerat motstånd som skulle kunna göra ett politiskt gejm av det hela, organiserat eller intentional mer än enbart sinnesyttring. Det är definitivt ganska cyniskt och fast i motståndstanken, som i "Through Struggle" (As I Lay Dying):

Men om det finns något motstånd artikulerat så är det samma gamla grej som redan Papa Roach körde på, om arbete, om alienation, nu med den ekonomiska krisen som bakgrund, t ex i Pierce the Veils "King for a Day", där även något som kan liknas vid ett kollektiv motstånd tar plats (sina begränsningar till trots):
